If you dont have this on your wedding day…You are doing it wrong.

My Little brother Josh and I were roommates in during the pandemic. Though it wasn’t the bachelor pad I was planning on. His girlfriend lived in California, …Mine lived in New York. Most nights were spend Sequestered in our rooms, chatting away on WhatsApp or zoom calls with our perspective “quarantine love’s”. The both of us approaching 40, were ready, (once again)…to settle down.

Things moved fast. He found a place in Texas. Laura met him there…Engaged. I drove down to Long Island, New York…suprised her…she said yes!

We both were married in October. One problem…He was in Texas. I was in Massachusetts. Actually… We were still on our honeymoon at the top of Mt. Washington in New Hampshire.

One Solution: Zoom! We drove to a spot with really reception and logged onto my little brother Wedding. (the picture above is where we were at the time of the wedding.)

Here is a screen capture of the lovely couple on the their wedding day.

Because of Zoom…I can say i was at his wedding…and he can say he was at mine.

Ok… on to the point of this post. What you NEED for your wedding day? ZOOM. Here is why.

When planning a wedding, the guest list is often one of the trickiest aspects to navigate. With limited space and a desire to keep things intimate, many couples are forced to make cuts to who they invite. However, with the advent of virtual attendance options via video conferencing, there is no need to limit the love and celebration to just those physically present. In fact, offering guests the option to attend virtually can have a number of advantages for both the couple and their loved ones.

One of the primary benefits of offering virtual attendance is the ability to expand the guest list, almost without limit. With video conferencing, hundreds more invitations can be sent to friends and family who may not have made the cut otherwise. This means that those who live far away or who cannot travel for various reasons can still join in the festivities and share in the joy of the day.

Virtual attendance also opens up the wedding to those who may not be physically able to attend, such as elderly relatives or those with mobility issues. It can be incredibly important for these individuals to feel included in this important celebration, and video conferencing allows them to do so from the comfort of their own homes.

Another advantage of offering virtual attendance is the ability to enhance the guest experience through pre-recorded content. For example, couples can hire a videographer like IBL Studios to create a welcome video or slide show to show while guests are waiting for the ceremony to begin. This can help to build excitement and make those attending virtually feel more connected to the event.

Finally, virtual attendance can also increase the number of gifts the couple receives. While guests attending in person may be limited in what they can bring or may opt for cash gifts, those attending virtually can send items to the couple’s home. This means more gifts and well-wishes to help start the couple’s new life together.

In conclusion, offering virtual attendance options to wedding guests can have numerous advantages for both the couple and their loved ones. From expanding the guest list to enhancing the experience and increasing the gifts received, there are many reasons to consider virtual attendance as part of your wedding planning process.

Btw…I got married in my friend’s backyard. Only 12 people PHYSICALLY in attendance, including the photographers. HOWEVER…our head count exceeded 400. And we had more gifts than we knew what to do with. Just saying. ask about our zoom package. CHEERS!
